The Clapham Park Centre

About the Centre

The Clapham Park Centre is a learning centre at Richard Atkins Primary School which was built in 2010. The Centre was funded by Richard Atkins Primary School, the Clapham Park Project and Lambeth Council, and is available for all members of the community not just the parents and pupils of Richard Atkins School.

The Centre’s key objectives are to:

  • Raise the educational aspirations and attainment of children at the school
  • Increase family learning and parental involvement in the school
  • Improve parents’ access to advice, health and social support
  • Provide social facilities to increase a sense of community in the area
  • Improve the co-ordination of lifelong learning initiatives in the neighbourhood and the school

The centre provides varied resources and services including; community activities, crèche facilities, study support, advice and interpreting services, breakfast club, adult learning, access to health and child support services, a studio for arts activities, ICT and refreshment facilities.

Available for Hire

The Clapham Park Centre is available to hire for birthday parties, funerals and other events. If you would like more information, please call 020 8671 1817 to book the centre.
